The Northbridge Academy is the most successful Academy on the North Shore.
1] It prepares more players for representative football than any other local Academy.
2] The Academy itself competes at the highest level and has produced many teams who have gone onto win local and state wide competitions. In 2018 the Academy had two teams in the Grand Finals of the prestigious Football NSW Champion of Champions Competition.
3] The Northbridge Academy also benefits from being the longest running Academy on the North Shore. With experience comes knowledge, we have learnt what works – and what doesn’t. We know what players and parents are looking for.
4] The Northbridge Academy links directly into the North Shore Mariners.
The Academy follows the Mariners Development Program.
5] Players moving between the two programs will be fully acquainted with the drills and playing styles. Each season more Academy players are being promoted to the North Shore Mariners.
6] Importantly the Northbridge Academy has a dedicated Technical Director.
Northbridge Academy Promises.
1] High quality, well accredited coaches working with the Academy Technical Director.
2] All teams share consistent and uniformed programs
3] Involvement in additional Competitions like The Kanga Cup, The FNSW State Cup and The Proctor Cup.
Younger age groups will also compete in the Mariners Cup.
4] Opportunities to train-on with the North Shore Mariners during season.
5] Realistic chances to be selected for the North Shore Mariners
6] Coach Education. All Academy and Mariners Coaches are part of the same coaching education program.
The Northbridge Academy is also directly linked to the Club’s own High Performance Training Program, ProZone.
ProZone is small group, high intensity training designed to help players develop skills and work on problem areas.
Having this type of Program on-site has a huge advantage.
It means the Academy and ProZone coaches will be working together to help the player meet his or her objectives.
The Team Coach and the ProZone Coach communicating and working together being a huge advantage to fast track skill development.
