Under 21 / Men’s All Age Division 2 – Season 2019

Northbridge FC and team sponsor Shaw and Partners are launching an Under 21 program within an existing Men’s All Age squad for the first time in season 2019.  We wish to provide a pathway for players between secondary school sport, our community club academy programs, the Northshore Mariners NPL program and our increasingly successful Men’s All Age teams.  The Under 21 team will represent the Club at State Cup Level and in Champions of Champions competitions.

Designed to appeal to those players wishing the make the transition from NPL, academy football or elite school programs, we are currently inviting players – or groups of players – to register their interest in joining this squad for season 2019.

Although our focus is on recruiting players for our U21 program, we welcome players of all ages and you are encouraged to register your interest.

Successful triallists will be invited to join the MAA2 squad, which plays in the Northern Suburbs Football Association (NSFA). Preseason training will commence after the Australia Day long weekend and will consist of two training sessions per week as well as preseason and intra-squad matches on weekends. The NSFA season will begin in April.

Players will be provided with full personalised home and away playing kit, sports bag, track suit and match day attire. The squad will be managed and coached by experienced, FFA licenced coaching staff. Normal Northbridge FC Registration fees will apply.

We will be hosting trials for the Northbridge Football Club Men’s All Age Division 2 and Under 21 squads in mid-January.

Trials for the combined Under 21/Men’s All Age Division Two squad times and dates as follows:

Session 1: Saturday 12th January 10am-12pm. Charles Bean Reserve, Eton Road, Lindfield

Session 2: Saturday 19th January 10am-12pm. Charles Bean Reserve, Eton Road, Lindfield

For more information or to register your interest, email Martin Crabb, MAA2/U21 Coach/Manager mcrabb@shawandpartners.com.au or SMS 0410 418 496.

Why Choose The Northbridge Academy

The Northbridge Academy is the most successful Academy on the North Shore.

1] It prepares more players for representative football than any other local Academy.

2] The Academy itself competes at the highest level and has produced many teams who have gone onto win local and state wide competitions. In 2018 the Academy had two teams in the Grand Finals of the prestigious Football NSW Champion of Champions Competition.

3] The Northbridge Academy also benefits from being the longest running Academy on the North Shore. With experience comes knowledge, we have learnt what works – and what doesn’t. We know what players and parents are looking for.

4] The Northbridge Academy links directly into the North Shore Mariners.
The Academy follows the Mariners Development Program.

5] Players moving between the two programs will be fully acquainted with the drills and playing styles. Each season more Academy players are being promoted to the North Shore Mariners.

6] Importantly the Northbridge Academy has a dedicated Technical Director.

Northbridge Academy Promises.

1] High quality, well accredited coaches working with the Academy Technical Director.
2] All teams share consistent and uniformed programs
3] Involvement in additional Competitions like The Kanga Cup, The FNSW State Cup and The Proctor Cup.
Younger age groups will also compete in the Mariners Cup.
4] Opportunities to train-on with the North Shore Mariners during season.
5] Realistic chances to be selected for the North Shore Mariners
6] Coach Education. All Academy and Mariners Coaches are part of the same coaching education program.

The Northbridge Academy is also directly linked to the Club’s own High Performance Training Program, ProZone.

Why ProZone.

ProZone is small group, high intensity training designed to help players develop skills and work on problem areas.
Having this type of Program on-site has a huge advantage.
It means the Academy and ProZone coaches will be working together to help the player meet his or her objectives.
The Team Coach and the ProZone Coach communicating and working together being a huge advantage to fast track skill development.
