Recycle Weekend – 20 Oct – THANK YOU

Recycle Weekend - 20 Oct - THANK YOU

Perfect morning for our annual Recycle for Goodness Weekend at NBFC

Organisers and founders Linda Curtis and Liz Courtney received over 18 large orange bags of sporting gear and 8 huge bags of boots to recycle from the Northbridge FC club, with plenty of youth lending a hand to deliver sporting gear, and also offer to participate in 2025. An amazing range of quality shirts, shorts, socks, and jackets for all ages from 3 years up to seniors was donated, including a few boxes of brand-new boots, and two signed Sydney FC shirts which will be given out during the summer youth program amongst First Nation youth in far West NSW and Northern Territory. Many thanks to all parents who washed, and presented all gear in meticulous order, and well labelled. All gear collected will be donated to an indigenous Wellness through Sport Program for youth this summer, led by Gerry Gomez and a number of ex-Socceroo’s players.

THANK YOU

Football Spring Clean for a Cause!

Got football gear you no longer need? We’re teaming up with the Sustainable Sports Program to collect gear that can have a second life! 👕👟

 Sunday, 20 October
 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
 Northbridge Oval, Sailors Bay Road

All donated gear will go to an Indigenous Wellness through Sport program for youth this summer, led by Gerry Gomez and former Socceroos players!

We’re looking for boots, socks, shin pads, shorts, shirts, and jackets. Just make sure everything is clean and ready for action!

Quick Tips:
✅ Tie boots together by their laces

✅ Separate gear by children/adults and label sizes on the bags
✅ Help keep everything organised for the volunteers!

Want to get involved? We’re also looking for two volunteers (youth welcome!) to assist with collections on the day. It’s a great way to give back! 🙏

Join us as we make a difference through sport!
